Downhill Skateboarders embraced the S1 Lifer Helmet when we released it back in 2012.

Most skaters had been wearing soft foam helmets and they were so thankful and stoked to wear a great fitting & safer helmet.

Alex Ameen started making videos for S1 from 2013 - 2016. And Luke Spud picked up the torch and has been making insane downhill skate videos for S1 since 2017. Luke travels the world and links up with S1 riders in their natural habitat and on their local terrain. Whether it is Asheville, NC, Tahoe, Spain, Colombia, Canary Islands, Malibu whatever and wherever - Spud is down !!! And in the rare case Spud doesn't film - he will edit. 

The Downhill Skate Community is like how the backyard vert ramp community was in the early 80's. Super rootsy. And what's crazy about the downhill scene is that it never got super popular or blown out so it has stayed true. Skaters doing it for the love and the fun. The challege. The thrill. No care about sponsors, exposure or olympic dreams.
