Recently, a large contingent of the roller skating community gathered in an unexpected place, Milano Italy! From memes, to stories, to posts and edits, Milano Quad Fest felt like the center of the Roller Skating World.

Steezy T | Back Flip

Since the announcement of MQF, a lot of roller skaters were wondering how to make their way to Italy for this big event. Surprisingly, the list of attendees included skaters from all around the world ranging from Australia to Argentina, USA, several European countries and even Asian skaters joined for the weekend! MQF was the first international invitational contest in Europe, and we definitely didn’t realize the magnitude of the event until one by one the invitational skaters confirmed their attendance, and then the skater tickets (for workshops during the main event) sold out after a few hours.

Bomba | Knee Slide Sidewalk

We joined forces with Irene; owner of Coven Skate Shop, and the one in charge of putting this event together locally while collaborating with Pinbowl DIY. Marta; DogDays magazine creator, Sam; owner of Chuffed Skates and Me (Caro) as co-creator of Hell on Quads.

RIB | Backside UFO Slide

The goal of the event was to gather skaters from all levels and have an excuse to finally interact in real life with our online friends. It started on Friday night with a stacked video night, the biggest ever seen for our sport, and we had the participation of our S1 Helmets team members; Mud and Silvia, with their own edits!

MUD | 50-50 Grind

First Place was taken by Lucas Majorana, the Argentinian skater who impressed us with technicality and course use all day long. Second Place was won by Katja from Slovenia, with clean style and execution and sending impressive flips at the best trick section. Third Place went to Silvia Kambouridis who we love to see taking the podium for transition and street competitions! Silvia’s style never goes unnoticed.
