ROLLERCON 2024 RECAP

ROLLERCON 2024 RECAP

RollerCon, in Las Vegas is the biggest roller skating event of the year and another one has passed us by. This was the second year it was held in Downtown Las Vegas at the Expo at the World Market Center and it did not disappoint! The line to get in was impressive the first day and the attendance was one of the highest of all time. It’s always a treat to witness so many skaters in one place at one time and to feel the energy they bring and as always RollerCon is the venue for the skating community to catch up for the biggest reunion of the year.

The S1 Pop Up Shop was a huge success as we got to meet so many amazing people while showcasing all our product and helping many skaters try on and size new gear. For many skaters who don't have a local skate shop that carry a full line of protective gear, Rollercon provides the opportunity to physically check out gear and get properly fitted.

Big shout outs to all our S1 Rollerskate team for some amazing performances at the annual mini ramp competition where:

JaQuan Owen won 1st Place Overall.

JaQuan and MoonSun shared the “Use of Course” prize for their trick combos and flow at the spot.

MoonSun won “Most Creative Trick” for a fakie method grab over the spine.

We also had our teammates join for the biggest roller derby game of the event showcasing some of the most prolific Roller Derby Skaters in the world from Team S1 and Riedell at the S1 x Riedell bout featuring Loren Mutch and MoonSun who kept the crowd excited and on the edge of their seats with some dazzling performances! We Live streamed the game for all our friends and family that could not attend in person, and you can re-watch the entire game on our @S1RollerDerby Instagram feed here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C9S44SiSq88/

On a side note, at every RollerCon you can find our skaters giving lessons for either ramps or derby skating, so start planning your next year’s adventure and join the celebration! Every year the locals organize a skatepark tour featuring their impressive parks around the city, so there’s plenty of chances to skate and share with the community.
