S1 Helmet's mission was to make a safe and certified helmet that you would actually want to wear. In 2010 Chris and Dan at S1 Helmets noticed some Vert skaters, Downhill skaters, BMX riders and Roller Derby players were getting knocked out and in some instances getting traumatic brain injuries while wearing traditional soft foam skate helmets. They instantly set forward in creating a comfortable high density foam helmet that provided three times the amount of protection than their traditional soft foam counterparts. The Lifer helmets were born featuring S1's Fusion Foam technology that achieved their goal of being one of the safest helmet options on the market.
