There was a big contest down in Rio and the skaters were stoked because there were BIG prize purses. $500k split between street and park. Contests with big prize purses is better for the skaters - It pushes progression and allows skaters to be more free from relying on their sponsors. It def puts the dream back into being a pro skater ! Skating, traveling the world and winning big money which means freedom to skate and have more fun.
